LWOWSKA FALA

There are two questions:

1.Are we going to comment and discus the murders committed by Ukrainians on the Polish people in Kresy?
2. Do we have the right to agree with the concept of erecting a monument to Stefan Bandera?

The locality is not a random one. The church of Saint Elizabeth (Sw.Elzbiety)is very important to the people of Poland. We accepted the fact that there is an Orthodox church there now, unfortunate, during the ZSRR regime there was a storage of manure, but we do not agree to the denigration of this place which has been immortalized in the song which is considered to be the hymn of Lwow," W dzien pochmurny i deszczowy".

There will be a new monument to Stefan Bandera in Lwow. The decision was made by the District Government. From the district of Lwow budget there is an amount for this purpose of One million hryvnia and from the actual city of Lwow budget 150,000 hryvnia. There is also a possibility of donations. Up until 14th of October in the Kropiwnicki square near the church of St.Elizabeth, will be upgrading of works of the site. There will also be the monument to Stefan Bandera. The whole project will be completed in 2009 on the 100th anniversary of his birth. Does this nation not have real heroes and has to erect a monument to a villain who has blood on his hands of hundreds of thousands innocent victims who were murdered?.

Not long ago one of the listeners suggested that we should not talk about these difficult situations. It is scary that one day a Polish child who is on holidays in Lwow could place some flowers on the monument and the name Bandera will be his hero of the Ukraine.

Do we talk or not?
